A baby girl was dropped on the doorstep with a note saying she belongs to Kurt. What happened? How did Karen react? Will you keep the baby? Her name is Violet Matilda.
One morning, shortly after Kurt had left for work, there was a knock on the door. Dominik made it to the door before Karen could, and promptly shouted, "Mom! It's a baby!" Shocked, Karen rushed over, and there she found a baby roughly the same age as her own new baby, Reuben. The letter sitting next to the baby said that the baby's name was Violet Matilda and that she was Kurt's, but failed to give the mother's name. Karen decided not to freak out until she could talk to Kurt.
When Kurt got home, she explained the situation to him, and he swore up and down that he had no idea how that was even possible, that it must have been some sort of mistake. Karen didn't understand how that was possible, but a couple days later, Kurt reported that a coworker of his who had been expecting a baby had gone missing and no one knew where she was. Kurt and Karen believe that Kurt was randomly chosen as someone to take the baby. A blood test later confirmed that Kurt was not the father, but the woman who they suspected to be Violet's mother had no family in the area that they could find, so they decided to adopt her.
