Wil meets his father for the first time in his life. Why, and what happens?
Wil and Lydia are happily married and have a newborn son, Matt. Wil, 20, is a professional ice hockey player. He has played for two years in the NHL now and is very happy with how he is progressing. Lydia, 19, loves animals and volunteers at the local animal shelter, playing with and taking care of dogs, cats, and other miscellaneous animals.
Shortly after Matt's birth, Wil's father Joseph shows up on the doorstep one day. Fortunately, Wil was home and let him in. Lydia would have told him to go away. Wil had never met his father before, but had always hoped to. Joseph stated that he had come to see his grandson. There were tense moments as Wil questioned Joseph about coming to see Matthew, but not bothering to attend the wedding, but eventually Joseph met Matt and went on his way. Wil was raised solely by his mother, but she later admitted to telling her ex-husband about her grandson. Wil and Joseph do not keep much contact, but have agreed to exchange yearly visits.
