His Imperial Majesty Emperor Benedikt III being in his forty-third year took to wife Countess Irina Losdenkov of Dreischvich, widow of Count Antonio Losdenkov. It has been rumored among the common folk of Nordskovic that young Countess Irina had her rich old husband the count murdered, though the Count's own doctors claim he died in his sleep. It is for certain that being beautiful and powerful the countess used her charms to so beguile the Emperor as to make him weak and he by royal decree shortened the number of mourning months for a widow from seven to just three! The people are now wondering what has become of their noble Benedikt III, he has been reduced to the slave of his Empress, though he would never admit it.
