Bellanaca Orsa is a ten year old girl from Greece. She and her little sister, Kassandra Serica were orphaned after their parents died in a car crash. Kassandra, who is only two, has no memory of her parents. She was just a baby when they died. However, Bellanca, who was in the car when the accident happened, suffers from severe depression, and has not spoken since the accident two years ago.
Kiele Kimokeo is an eight year old boy from Hawaii. He has lived in foster homes for much of his life and is looking forward to having a permanant family. Kiele's favorite pastime is surfing.
Adonica Flora is a fourteen year old girl from Spain. She doesn't speak any English, but is eager to learn. She was put up for adoption when she was eight years old. Adonica doesn't remember much about her birth mother, but she would like to try to locate and visit her.

Bellanca "Bella" is doing very well in our family, and has taken up singing. Kassie too is doing well, and has fallen in love with a doll that I made when I was a girl.
Kiele is such a sweet boy! We all went surfing one afternoon, and everyone had a blast. He is very glad to be with us, and has taken to my husband like a duck to water.
Nica's English is coming along admirably, and she has become Bella's role model. We have been searching for Nica's birthmother, but haven't found her yet. We did, however, find that Nica had a sister, Inez. Inez is now sixteen, and in an adoptive home. The two have been speaking on the phone daily, and want to get together some time soon.
