Its been sixteen years since the birth of the Sloane quads and over fifteen years since the Carter twins arrived. Over the years, Simon and Anne have remained good friends with Melissa and their families have lived next door to each other for years. They seem so perfect, in fact, that they were asked to appear in local TV advertisements for the Sunny Hill suburbs. The ads were very successful and two new families have moved into the neighborhood. Jasmine Browne is a recently divorced pregnant mother with two young daughters already. She has finally left her abusive husband and is eager to give her children a fresh new start in life.

Jasmine would like her third (and last) daughter to have a name that makes a good sibset and expresses her optimism about her new life.
The Flanns are the other new residents of Sunny Hills. They are very proud of their mutual Irish heritage and have expressed that in the names of their five children. They are also planning on choosing another Irish name for their sixth.

All of the excitement of having so many new neighbors has distracted
the Sloanes and Melissa from the secret that may finally cause a rift between the two families. Mercy Sloan, sixteen, is pregnant
and Noah Carter, fifteen, is the father. They dread telling their families, but want to keep their baby. They would like to choose a very trendy, non-religious name for their son or daughter.
