Update and 2nd application
Dear Ryleigh's Agency,
We have enrolled Mariska, Carissa and Lindsey in a silent art course. They are allowed to draw, paint, sculpt, whatever with the supplies provided, but the rule is no speaking. All three do remarkably well and Mariska actually chose to stay for the discussion time after this last week. I think she is secretly speaking with Carissa and Lindsey, but they won't tell us. Which is fine with us, as long as she is getting what she needs.Niko loves playing with Ben, although he fights with him all the time. He doesn't mind being around the 'big' people as long as some of the younger kids are there too.Izzy has become Hosanna's baby and the two are quite inseperable. She still loves for me to hold and rock her though, it comforts her.We would love more kids, same rules. Surprise us! Within our limits, we are open to craziness.

-Akakios Nomiki is a 13 year old boy from Greece. His single mother gave him to us when he was only 4 months old because she was too poor to provide well enough for a child. He speaks only English but would love to learn Greek to feel more connected with his heritage. He also believes he might have another sibling in an orphange and dispite our searching, we came up with nothing. He likes to play basketball, baseball, swim, and his favorite subjects are History and English/ Language Arts [he usually wins his school's spelling bees!]. He has a pet hamster named Anna [after his mother]. Hamsters require very little care: clean water every other day, being fed 3 times a week, and the occasional petting. Anna is quite lazy but enjoys being put in a wheel for a couple hours once a week.
-Aurelia Brigida and Cleto Demetrio are 10 year old twins from Italy. Aurelia is partially deaf, but can speak fluent Italian and partial English with no problem. She likes to play volleyball, sing, and she plays the piano brilliantly. Her true passion, however, is ice skating [figure skating]. She hopes to become a professional figure skater one day. Cleto likes to play soccer, mold things out of clay, and astronomy. He wants to study forensic sciences and help sovle cases of crime. They share a female chinchilla named Adora. All the info you need on maintenance can be found at the following link. Adora is about 6 years old, but chinchillas have been known to live anywhere from 15-20+ years. If caring for Adora is too much hassle, the children would be okay if you gave it away to a caring family.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinchilla

UpdateAkakios (we all call him Aksel) had a pretty rough time fitting in with our family. He fought with Greg constantly, even broke his nose once. But he seems to have settled down a bit. He is very smart and is currently on the honor society in school. We decided to send Jim, Jeremiah and Aksel on a two week trip to Greece where they toured Aksels birthtown as well as visiting some of our relatives. After asking around, they discovered Aksel's mother did have another baby, a little girl. She was living with an extremely elderly couple who were nearly unable to care for her. We asked if she might want to come live with us and they all agreed. So, Aksel brought his sister; Kalliope Hera, back here to join our family. She is 8 years old and is adjusting well.Arie and Cleto are a joy to our family. Cleto and Joshua have similar intrests and do many of the same things together. Arie has discoverd musical theatre and now won't stop singing and dancing. She seems to have transfered her passion for ice skating into dancing and she is quite good. Often the star of the shows in our community theatre.Thank you for working hard and placing these great kids in our family!
