Re: 2 year update and 2nd application
Nadya Yekaterina, Artur Borya, and Faina Marianna are from Russia. Nadya and Artur lived in the same apartment builing. Faina is Nadya's cousin, who was living with them after her parents died. All three children ended up in a Russian orphanage after someone set fire to their building. They woke up and managed to get out. Nadya's parents and younger brother died in the fire and Artur's parents didn't survive either.
-Nadya is 10. She loves the arts: art, music, literature, dancing. She takes dance lessons and would like to continue. She is very outgoing and extremely smart.
-Artur is 11. He likes to play almost any sport, except for rugby, hockey, and football (American). He is laid-back and wise beyond his years.
-Faina is 7. She likes to dance, sing, act, and play almost anything with friends. She is very shy. Both girls speak fluent English because Nadya's mom was American and Faina has lived with them for years. Artur speaks hardly any English [he learned a little from Nadya and her mother], but the girls would be more than happy to translate.

16 month update and last applicationWhat a difference three kids can make to a family! When we heard these kids would be ours, Bruland and I flew to Russia to meet them. We found them just as you had described but realized we needed a bigger home. While the paper work was in process, we frantically looked and found the perfect house. It has several bonus rooms that we can section off into private bedrooms as the need arises. It is also on about two acres of property so the kids can play.Nadya and Bruland immediatly hit it off, they go to museums, symphony's, ballet's, everything, together. She is enrolled in Jazz, Tap and Ballet classes and does very well. All the time Nadya spends with Bruland tends to upset Artur; whom we now call Arthur so he fits in better with the American kids at school. He is very protective of Nadya and Faina (at school she is called Fiona). Both girls have been working hard at getting him to pick up English, but he can be stubborn at times. He plays hockey now and will join a summer football league soon. Faina is very shy but seems to like Justice alot. She was recently in our community theatre's production of Annie and she had a blast! We are sure she will do many more shows as the years progress. As a mommy, I am having a baby craving; my youngest are 4 and I want more babies in the house. We thought it would be a good idea to open our home to a pregnant girl who has nowhere else to go. Also, if there are infants no one else wants (physically deformed, victim of rape or unwanted pregnancies) we would love to have them. Our new house has plenty of room, so we will take any number you will give us.Thank you soooo much, our kids are adapting wonderfully and you have done an excellent job placing them.

-Octavia Efimia is 16 and from Greece. She speaks fluent English, Polish, and Yoruba [African language; she speaks Greek also]. She was raped by a stranger who broke into her house. She is having a baby in about a month [she doesn't know the gender or haves names picked out]. She likes to swim, ride horses, and she's a wonderful dancer [before she was pregnant].
-Susan Daniella and Sandra Deborah are two week old twins from Arizona (USA). Their parents did not want a baby but neither parent thought abortion was right. Please keep us updated.

1 year updateOctavia is the most beautiful girl we've seen. Her baby, lucky enough, looks just like her: Lukas Androon has fair blonde hair and white blue eyes just like his mummy. When he was born, Octavia cried and cried saying over and over how glad she was he didn't look like 'him'. Now that Lukas is older, Octavia has taken up dancing again and actually helps teach one of Faina's classes. Those two have become quite close.Susa and Sanny, as we call Susan and Sandra, were very small and having a hard time when we first took them home. Because they had lived in the nursery at the hospital, they didn't get all the love they needed. They were very healthy, sure, but they need someone to lovingly care for them. Now they are both healthy, happy, well-loved babies who are just beginning to walk. Artur is particularlly fond of them, often taking them for walks or playing peek-a-boo.And then, Surprise! After admitting long ago that any kids we got would be adopted, I became pregnant! Roxanna Joy was born about three months ago and I believe our family is now complete.Thank you so much for all the support your agency has provided, our family is so awesome thanks to you.Love,Bruland, Moira, Octavia, Artur, Nadya, Shane, Justice, Faina, Susa, Sanny, Lukas and Roxanna
