Luke & I are thrilled to announce the arrival of our first child, a beautiful baby girl! Janna Michelle Rene was born November 30th (3 weeks & 3 days early...she was due Christmas Eve!) at 7:24 AM, weighing 6 pounds, 8 ounces; 19 inches long, at a hospital in Sacramento, California. We chose the name Janna as a compromise, or rather a combination of the two names we liked: Jenna (which Luke wanted to use to honor me) & Hannah (which I simply loved); not to mention the fact that Janna is the name of an individual who has greatly inspired me in life, so it worked out nicely (and I've always liked the name anyway). Michelle is for a close friend, as well as for my grandmother, Maria; it was one of the few "M" names we both liked that actually went well with Janna. And Rene is a combination of my brother's middle name, Ryan, and my sister's middle name, Danae (yes, we realize that this is typically the masculine spelling, but it was the one we both liked & yes, we know there is an actress named Michelle Rene Thomas, but I've always admired her work, so it worked out nicely).Janna was conceived at home in March, a year and a half after Luke & I were married. The pregnancy was normal and actually went really well. I only suffered from morning sickness every once in a while, and even then, it wasn't too bad. The labor itself was uneventful and only lasted 9 hours. I started having contractions around 10:00 on the 29th of November; we were a little concerned because she wasn't due for another 3 1/2 weeks, but the doctors assured us that she was fine and everything would go well.

Sydney Kate was born to Jakob and Aviva. She weighed 7 lb, 3 oz and was born at 8:32 AM. She was born in Seattle Washington. Delivery went smoothly. The pregnancy was great - the only reportable side effect being Aviva's unusual craving of extremely bland foods. Both mother and baby are doing well. Proud Papa Jakob is extremely happy to have a little girl.

1. Scarlett Gwendolyn Blair
2. She was 15 inches, 3.14 pounds, was born at 2:54 PM in Boulder, Colorado.
3. Scarlett was concieved two years after the honeymoon.
4. She was born early; 2 months early! The doctors didn't think Scarlett would be as big as she was, which is a very good thing. She was going to be delivered C-Section (sorry, can't spell it!) 2 weeks early, but I got very sick. She had to be at the hospital for 4 weeks before Scott and I could take her home. Sad, but we are very happy for her to finally see her nursery. The Revolution has begun! 4/3/04

Jakob and I would like to announce the birth of our daughter. Sydney Kate was born, weighing 7 lb, 3 oz. Everything was a breeze, I didn't even know I was in labor until my water broke. Pregnancy was great, the only quirk was craving insanely bland foods.

Chris and I would like to welcome our daughter Sam Elisabeth to the world. We were fortunate enough to be able to have a homebirth for our daughter. Well, it really wasn't a "home" birth...she was born in small secluded spring near the ocean in Spain. Only Chris and I were present for the birth, Doctor James Lorin was off to the side just incase of any complications. From the beginning to end the labour and delivery lasted 13 hours. She weighed 6lbs 2 oz and measured 18 1/2 inches. It was the most amazing experiences of my life! I am really excited to watch my daughter grow to a confident and capable adult. Can't wait for baby # 2!

James and myself welcomed Helena Genevieve Price into the world on June 6 in London. The labor and delivery were a wonderfully short 5 hours without any complications and she is as cute as button. Lena is a perfect image of her mother with the same nose and greeny-blue eyes. You can already tell the hair will be her father’s wavy brown locks and we cannot wait to watch her grow up. She weighed 6lbs. 2oz. and was 18 inches long. Her 2nd mn is after me because it is my maiden name and we always new we would use it in our first daughter's name.
