Making a family (all in 1 post!)
Instead of clogging up the boards, it will be all in one post, just divided into sections.Part 1: Write a letter telling of your first child's birth.
ex:
Dear family and friends:
I just delivered a beautiful new baby, Annabella Kirsten. Bella weighed six pounds, five ounces, and was twenty-one inches long. She was born on November 1. Love,
Hannah, Chris,
BellaPart 2: Your first child is in preschool. Tell about how well your child is doing, if they've had to sit in the time-out chair, or if they think throwing water balloons at the teacher is funny. You or your DW just delivered twins. (Or triplets, maybe octuplets if you really want.)
ex:
Dear friends and family:Bella is in preschool. She enjoys Arts & Crafts and likes to try to spell. However, she does not like counting or anything related to numbers. She had a small temper tantrum and earned a trip to the time-out chair.
On a happier note, I am proud to announce that I have given birth to twins! Matthew Scott and James Adam were March 19. Matt weighed seven pounds, ten ounces, and Jamie weighed seven pound, four ounces. Matt was nineteen inches long, and Jamie was twenty-two inches long. Love,
Hannah, Chris,
Bella, Matt, and JamiePart 3: As your younger children are learning to walk, something bad happens. You also decide to adopt a child from a country your ancestors originated from. The child should be younger than the twins / triplets / quads / quints / etc. You also move into a bigger house.
ex:
Dear family and friends:When Jamie was taking his first steps, he tumbled and broke his leg. On the way to the ambulance, he cried and held both legs. When the doctors X-rayed him, the found that both legs were broken. They put him in two casts, the left one going from his toes to his knee, the right one going from his toes to his hips. We found that he has a minor case of brittle bones, and were informed that we can expect as many as fifty to eighty broken bones in childhood and teen years. We have decided to adopt a child from Poland. Her name is Dominika Jadzia and she is a month old. She has blonde hair and green eyes. We will teach her to speak English, but when she is older, possibly teach her some Polish. (Of course, we need to learn Polish first!)Because of our growing family, we have decided to move into a bigger house that's near the house we currently live in. Each of the kids can have their own room!Love,
Hannah, Chris,
Bella, Matt, Jamie, and DomiPart 4: You get a pet, and your oldest child is in eighth grade. He/she is showing talent either in English or Science. Tell in detail about it. He/she is inviting you to a big event! Your middle children are in fourth grade. Talk about it! Your adopted child is in third grade and is making a lot of friends.
ex:Dear friends and family:We recently adopted a pet cat from the shelter. He is brown and very lovely. We named him Cappucino. Bella is in eighth grade, and would like to invite you to her Bat Mitzvah! She is also showing a lot of talent in English and is writing very good novels. We hope that she will be a professional author one day. The twins are in fourth grade. Matt is on the basketball and hockey teams and is loving it! Jamie is at home, (once again) with a broken knee. To his dismay, this one (once again) required surgery. They put in nails and metal plates (once again.) Domi is in third grade and is really popular with all her friends. She is having sleepovers almost every weekend, going to parties all the time, and is basically having a great time! We just wonder what it will be like over the summer when all her friends are on vacation.Love,
Hannah, Chris,
Bella, Matt, Jamie, Domi,
and CappucinoPart 5: Tell what everyone is doing in thirty years!
ex:
Dear family and friends:Over the years, we've had some interesting events. Matt got stuck on the barn roof at the family reunion when he was ten, Domi got chased by a flock of chickens that same year. Bella decided to put glue in Jamie's toothpaste and Jamie put Bella's bra and undies on the flagpole to get revenge. It all was interesting, even funny. But what's with our children now? Bella is an editor at Scholastic who is a part-time author. She is 43 years old, and is married to Thomas Victor. They have three kids, Anthony Vincente, age 14, Nina Rachel, age 10, and Brendan Michael, age 8. Matt is 39 years old, and is a successful lawyer. He is married to Karen Isabella, who is an artist. They have one child, Marya Rose, age 3. They have decided to live in Chicago, which is a long way from Boston, where Chris, and I live. Jamie is also 39 years old. He has become a casting technician, inspired by his many, many, many casts. He says that the kids are more relaxed when they see his large casts. He lives with his fiancee Deborah Marianne. Domi is 38 years old and is a Polish translator. She is married to a Polish man, Mariusz Sylwester. They live in New York. They have two daughters, Stefana Wera (age 9) and Krysia Tekla (age 5). And how could we forget Oscar? He is our new cat, after Cappucino, Mocha, Daisy, and Theo. Love,
Hannah, Chris,
Bella, Tom, Tony, Nina, Brendan,
Matt, Karen, Marya,
Jamie, Deborah,
Domi, Mariusz, Stefana, Krysia,
and Oscar--------------Hope you enjoyed this game!
