Your oldest child(ren) are all in school and any younger ones are in pre-school. This time, either one of your children has found a friendly stray animal that your family adopts or you are adopting one or more children.

Hello all!!
Josh just turned 10 and is in fourth grade. He just tried out for the basketball team and made it! He also plays baseball during the Spring. He took piano lessons for about 4 months. Aunt Amanda taught him her old tricks :) Josh is still friends with Ben (who is also on his baseball team) but Matt moved away to Boston over the summer. The boys tried writing each other letters but that stopped once school started.
Abigail started preschool in Sept. She is three and very dramatic. She has the most adorable facial expressions and italizes everything. She has many different friends and has been invited to every birthday party of the year so far. She just started ballet lessons and is so cute twirling around in her little tutu. She was a even ballerina for Halloween.
Abigail and Josh found a turtle on a trip to the lake and convinced me and Brian to keep him. We agreed thinking a turtle has to be easier to take care of than the still hyperactive thinks he is still a puppy Rascal. We named the turtle Willy II after the turtle Brian had growing up.

Dear friends and family,

Hi everyone! Just a little bit of news from our family...
Ben is now in third grade and he's totally crazy about it. He got such a great report and his teachers can't get enough of how creative he is - he gets top marks for his stories and it seems like every time I go into his classroom to pick him up he has a new picture on the wall. Dylan's in pre-school now, but he hates being cooped up inside all day. Whenever the class goes on nature walks he nearly always ends up getting lost because he loves exploring. Now it's mud instead of paint that I keep having to wash out of clothes but it's nice to have a scientist in the family (even though me and Tom can't imagine where on earth that came from!)
Also, the other day the boys were playing in the front yard when a little yellow puppy came up to Dylan and started joining in their game. They both begged me to let them keep him so we called the vet and she said that the puppy was OK. Seeing as Daisy spends all her time hanging out with Ben, I said that Dylan could get to name the puppy and have him as his own pet. So he named him Jake after a character on one of his favourite kids' TV shows, which we thought was kind of sweet.

Hello,
Ivy and Sandy are into the second grade now and Lucy is in Kindergarten. Time is flying, even Eamonn is in preschool where he found a tiny kitten. The little ball of fluff is here to stay, or so it seems. He's a little orange tabby that looks to be only a month or so old. The whole family is in love.

Stella, Jules & Gwen are all doing great they are now 12-years-old and are in the 7th grade. Callie is also doing great and has found a furry companion. While playing outside in the front yard Callie came across a kitten. The kitten is an all grey puff of fur with a white spot on it's forhead. After posting flyers with no response we decided to take it in as a house pet. The girls just love it and Callie has taken charge on keeping up with it. All is well in the Hathaway house.

Dear Friends & Family,
We've been busy at usual. Augustus is doing extremely well at school. His teacher tells me that she think he would do better if he moved up a grade. I'll have to talk to him about this. Augustus loves school, but not the other students, which might make it an easier decision for him. Thelonius is the exact opposite of his brother. He just started Kindergarten & he's made friends with everyone there. His teacher says he's such a sweet little boy. Infact he is so sweet that the other day a little puppy joined him in the backyard the other day while he was playing. He's wanted his own pet since forever, especially since Kitty is Augustus's pet & won't have anything to do w/ anyone else. I had to make sure that a puppy would get along w/ Kitty, but apparently she doesn't mind & the puppy was too interested in Thelonius. And since Augustus got to name his Kitty, I let Thelonius name his puppy. So our new family member is named Wolf. when I told him that Wolf is a girl he said he didn't care.

The kids are more than half-way done with school. Davy and Rae-Rae have just started acting classes. Nessa is beginning to take dance lessons, and Mikey is turning out to be a real computer wiz. Just the other day, the twins found a stray kitten in the garage. being an animal lover myself, there was no way I couldpossibly say that we couldn't have it. It's a little blac and white one, and we named her Bunny. Davy thought she was a rabbit when he first saw her.

Hey all! I just wanted to check in with everyone, and let you all know that we have a new family member! No, I'm not pregnant again! Seriously! We adopted a new cat that Kai found... in the ditch. It's a very sad looking cat, but hopefully in a few weeks she'll be healthy. "We've" decided to call her Fatty McGee ("we" being Dean, Kai and Niall) so if anyone has any advise on what we should do to make Fatty more comfortable let me know.

Dear Everyone,
Our girls are both in elementary school. Nana Lida and Grampa George hav been a big help in picking up from school. Daphne is blossoming in third grade and Violet is so happy in kindergarten. We have also welcomed a little stray gray cat, Linus, into the family. The girls enjoyed him so much that we adopted a cocker spaniel, Enid, from the pound. Our family has been doing so well.

Dear Jane,
Annie and Kate are now in 4th grade, Eliza is in 2nd and Henry is in pre-school. Ben and I have adopted twins from Russia. We have one girl, Julia Caroline and one boy William Thomas. Annie and Kate are now sharing a room and so are Julia and William. We are so happy with them, and love them so much. The children are crazy about the twins also. Thank God Ben's parents are living with us or I might go crazy with my 6 kids!

We have added another edition to our family! Grace Madelyn found a stray dog a few weeks ago. We put up flyers and called all of the animal shelters, but no one claimed her, so we have a new dog. Prior was a little suspicious at first, but we assured him that we still love him just as much. He's such a silly dog, but now he and Princess Leia get along great. Grace is in the 5th grade this year, Wyatt Samuel and Piper Isabella are in 1st grade, and Joseph Jace and Pacey Aramis are in pre-school. JJ. and Pacey celebrated their 3rd birthday this past March, Wyatt and Piper are 7, and Grace is 10.

Our little bear is now 7! He is thriving at school, especially in dance and music. His ballet is very strong and he is in several junior music ensembles.
Arky & Mika are at the same school as Bear. They were both accepted for ballet, they did not audition for music as they would rather zone in on their ballet skills. The boys are both working on their gymnastics hard to win some prizes at the next finals.
Cass & Nell are now in pre-school. Cass loves to paint and draw, he is a little artist he is very creative and loves to build with blocks. Nell has the voice of an angel and loves to sing to people. They both love Music and ballet.
We have adopted another boy from Russia. Vassily "Bela" is a beautiful two year old boy. We adopted him from the same place where we adopted Arky and Mika. He is the spitting image of them with his long curly dark hair, but he has very intense brown eyes.

I have some very exciting news: A couple of weeks ago, River and Lilith found a little grey and white kitten in our backyard. Although we have put out advertisements that we found him, no one has called to claim him. Assuming that no one does, we are planning on keeping him. River has named the kitten Frozone, after a character from the Incredibles.
Elodia has entered school this year. Although she has a reputation for being a chatterbox, she is doing very well. She already has a good grasp of reading. She has two best friends - Danielle and Amy - who she plays with every day. Elodia is enrolled in ballet classes. She has decided that she wants to be a prima ballerina when she grows up.
Lilith and River are both doing very well in school. Lilith seems to be more academically inclined while River seems to prefer music, art, and other more creative productions. Lilith is very excited to have the part of an elf in the holiday festival - we think that performance arts is something she will want to do in the future. She is also taking gymnastics and karate with her brother. River loves to play piano. He is playing a solo piece at the holiday festival! He is starting to get very interested in our family history and loves to hear stories about the past from all his grandparents.
Mom is still taking care of the kids. She walks them to school in the morning, picks them up in the afternoon, and watches them until Chris or I come home. She is very good with all three of them - they seem to listen better to her than to either of us!
