Has anyone heard...
Has anyone ever heard of the name "Lediah" pronounced "Lee-die-uh"? In an e-mail I recieved from my distant aunt, she informed me that this was the name of her first daughter. (She has two sons, Barret and Curtis .) At first I thought it was an alternate spelling of the name Lydia , but that was before I talked to her on the phone and she told me how to pronounce it. She can't remember where she heard it, and she has no idea of it's meaning. So I am curious to know what this name means. Thanx! ~Aidan

Looking at records of town records of Dartmouth Mass., I found a listing of Lediah Sherman .
She married in 1707, under that name; about 20 years earlier she is listed in the records as both Lediah and Lydia .I hope this helps.Shalom

Lediah *looks* like a biblical Hebrew name. However it doesn't appear in either testament according to Nave's Topical Bible.
