I am trying to find information that confirms that the name 'Parken' is an old English form of Peter.

"Parken" is an alternate spelling of "Parkin", both derived from the Middle English given name of "Perkin". The suffix "-kin" creates a diminutive form out of the name Peter -- a sort of term of endearment which might be literally translated as "Peter-child".
