PEPSI: Off-topic digression
...which reminds me of the fact that PEPSI is derived from the word "pepsis" meaning digestion (from which offshoots such as "peptic" are derived).
I am surprised that we have seen no frivolous class-lawsuits against Pepsico by sufferers of peptic diseases claiming that "PEPSI" falsely alludes to aiding digestion, without clinical or FDA documentation!

What's your source? I would think Shasta derives ultimately from the rather primitive Indian tribe of the same name in Northern California, whence came the name of Mt. Shasta. Other sources say the name of the place may have derived from Russian "tshastal" or French "chaste", both meaning "pure".
I haven't seen any meaning alluding to "three", tho, but it's possible, I guess.
