Does anyone know the origin of the name Eila. I've read that it is an Irish form of Evelyn but I was under the impression that Evelyn was Eibhlin in Irish Gaelic. Could it have anything to do with Welsh names like Eilonwy or Eilwen? I've also heard that it's a Finnish name, but I can't find a meaning for it.
