Shan-in...for when I get older and have kids, my all-time favorite name for a girl is Shannen Rae Elisabeth

But when the name is spelled Shannon instead of Shannen, it can be pronounced SHA-non or SHA-nin. At least, I've heard both, and when I encounter the "on" version I pronounce it to reflect the spelling.
