Who would like to think of a name?
My filly foal was born at twenty to one this morning (UK time). She is, of course, totally and utterly beautiful. I would show you pictures if only I knew how.
Anyway, I am still trying to think of names for her. She is going to be a big horse when full grown (16.3-17hh, if that means anything to you), and she is chesnut-brown and white in huge splashes all over her head and body, with her legs and tail mostly white.
Her mother is called Shanagolden - a place in Ireland - and her father is called Mars .
Anyone like to play with that one?

Congrats + note to Mike C
Congrats to Catherine for her new horse (horses dogs and dolphins rule!) and to Nan for selecting a cool name.
Mike how feasible would it be to add a feature that would allow posting pictures to the board? Granted, it would do little to promote the science of etymology, but it would certainly allow for cool horseplay (pun intended)!

The picture posting feature on Haggisbutt and other message boards merely allows one to redisplay an image that is already somewhere on the internet. On this board you can place links to images, though the image will not show up in the message itself. (e.g. http://graphics.theonion.com/universal_pics/jackie_harvey.gif)
Perhaps I will add a way for images to be displayed "in-line".

Oh, yeah! That would be a really cool feature!
I've been having a gas of a time over on Haggisbutt with the picture-posting feature. It would be so cool if we could do that here, too.

I love Ashlan Dreamsong - it's just marvellous. We've called her Lacey as her pet name, but she will be registered with your name with the breed society. If you e-mail me your e-mail address, I could send you some pictures!
As you've done so brilliantly with that one, what can you conjure up for Wenlock Love and Hot Shot, for a baby boy?
Bye for now

Does this make me the filly's godmother? :)
I'm sincerely flattered that you chose "Ashlan Dreamsong" for the filly's registration. Already e-mailed you, and am looking forward to seeing the pics. :)

Congrats!! I definately think an anagrammed name is the way to go, and I love Nan's #1 choice.
