Thea
My wife and I are considering the name Thea for our baby girl.
I believe that the name is usually an abbreviation of the name Theodora ("one who loves God"?), but we would just like the shortened form to be her whole first name.
With the -a ending, would this name translate as the feminine form of theos? As in "goddess"???

I'd have to side with Chrisell too. Sorry Claire. nt  ·  Miranda  ·  9/22/2004, 1:52 PM
