The name consists of two parts "Dav" and "lyn". This could mean that davlyn is put together from two names like marilyn, which seems to be put together from Mary and Lynn .
"Dav" could be a short form of Dave which comes from the hebrew name david meaning "friend" or "beloved"
My best guess on "lyn" is that it is a short form of "Lynn ", which means lake in Welsh.
So to conclude my best guess is that Davlyn means
"beloved lake" or "lake friend".
