Why does this site so closely relate Mark Twain with the name Tom?
Do a search for Tom and you get, "Mark" and "Sawyer"and then on the bottom "Tom?" Mark Twain is great, Tom Sawyer was a great character that Mark created, but it really has nothing to do with origin, pronounciation or overall history of the name.
