AHREN almost sounds like AARON, but I suspect it's rather Scandinavian and it might have something to do with Aar (eagle). Can anybody confirm this?

It's probably not Scandinavian (Scandinavian forms include
Arne
,
Arn
, Are and
Ari
). The combo of the letters A and H are seldom found in the Scandinavian languages. Maybe it's a variant of
Aharon
?
