There's something that has stumped me for days and days! I've been trying to find the answer to this question about the origin of a specific name. So I'm wondering if you can help me with this. This name is a boy's name, and the name is Evinrude. The question that has struck my mind about this name is, what is it's meaning and origin? Can you help me with this, please?

I've been able to find out that Evinrude was the surname of a Norwegian inventor (by the looks of things he invented outboard motors) and is now most widely recognised as a boat brand name. So it's probably a surname being used as a male first name. I wasn't able to find out anything else, though - maybe someone who knows a Scandinavian language can help.
