Here is Pausanias’s account on the hermaphrodite deity Agdistis:

Agdistis got his/her name from a holy rock named Agdus upon Mount Dindymus. "Agdus" is most likely derived from the adverb "agden" which is related to the verb "ago" meaning "to lead or carry, to convey."
