I believe it was Andrejasevich before it was changed on Ellis Island or something to the effect of it sounding like Andre-yas-o-vich. Any help would be much appreciated, Supposedly it is Slavic, possibly Russian, but most likely Slavic.

it sounds to me like a Russian surname that would mean "son of Andre" or "son of Andreas". you can look up the meanings for Andre and Andreas on here; they're also both European forms of the name Andrew.

I actually read some more records and was told it was Andrijevica or Andrejasevitch, any sort of meaning would be helpful to eith of these surnames.
