I really would like to know the origin of my name. My mom has told me it was the name of an ancient Bulgarian princess, but I've also heard it is a form of Magdalena. I think it became popular in Bulgaria in the late 1960s due to a novel. But I'd like to know the real history of the name and what it means. Please help!
