Re: Where did the name “Beyincé” come from?
The name "Beyincé" is a family heirloom that originated in West Africa and was brought to America through the transatlantic slave trade. The name's pronunciation and spelling evolved over time to become "Beyoncé".

Here's some more information about the name:

Origin: The name Beyincé is believed to have originated in Nigeria and is of French and African descent.

Meaning: The name translates to "beyond others".

History: The name has been passed down through generations in African-American communities and is associated with pride and resilience.

Spelling: Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson, explained that the name was spelled differently for some family members due to a clerical error at the hospital.

I am skeptical about the above because it just says the name "originated in Nigeria." There are many different cultures and languages in what is now Nigeria, and it would seem to me that if Beyince "translates" to something in English we should be told exactly which language (Yoruba, Igbo, Edo, Ibibio, etc.) this comes from. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Languages_of_Nigeria

This pieces of information> Origin: The name Beyincé is believed to have originated in Nigeria and is of French and African descent.> Meaning: The name translates to "beyond others". don't really fit with each other. In order to get at the meaning, you need to identify the Nigerian source language and explain the name inside that language. Also the French descent needs to be explained, especially if it goes beyond spelling conventions. The meaning looks like an English inspired folk etymology, at best.
