I've been working with the Behind the Name API to retrieve information about various names. While I'm able to successfully get data like the name's usage and gender, I haven't been able to retrieve the meaning of the names through the API.
The response includes details like the name, gender, and usage, but unfortunately, the meaning of the name isn't included in the data.
Is there a specific endpoint or parameter that I need to include in my API request to retrieve the meaning of the names? Or is there another method or API that you would recommend for obtaining this information?
I would really appreciate any guidance or advice from those who have experience with this API.

The reason the meaning/history information is not available via the API is that this text is not "open" (i.e. not covered by the free license). You cannot use it to create your own website or app. If you have a different use case, please contact me using the "Contact" link at the bottom of the page.

I'm sorry, there is not. This text cannot be used in a 3rd-party app.

Based on the information provided on the copyright page, I understand that while the text itself cannot be used in a third-party app, I was wondering if it would be permissible to display the name along with its origins and meanings as long as I include a link back to the Behind the Name website for each entry.
