Maybe someone can let me know.
I love the name Yumeko. I would just like to know whether it's considered a normal name in Japan or more of an anime/manga/fantasy name, that's not used among the general population.
What about similar names such as Yume, Yumea, Yumeka, Yumeri etc.?
There's a Yumeko (born 1915), an actress, but she was born Yachiyo. Still, she chose her stage name in the 1930s so it must have been around/known of then, but I can't tell whether it would have been considered a normal name or far out stage name.
