Oh brother, there goes the cottleston pie :)
in reply to a message by Pavlos
I had thought of writing one word on each of the balloons from Winnie the Pooh's nice birthday poem called "Cottleston pie."
As you will probably remember Pooh sings it to Eeyore, who is as always rather gloomy:)
Buuuuut since I am not allowed to do that ON the day itself I will simply have to quote it right now!
Cottleston, cottleston, cottleston pie
A fly can’t bird, but a bird can fly
Ask me a riddle and I will reply:
“Cottleston, cottleston, cottleston pie”
Cottleston, cottleston, cottleston pie
A fish can’t whistle and neither can I
Ask me a riddle and I will reply:
“Cottleston, cottleston, cottleston pie”
Cottleston, cottleston, cottleston pie
Why does a chicken, I don’t know why
Ask me a riddle and I will reply:
“Cottleston, cottleston, cottleston pie”
(Winnie-the-Pooh, Chapter 6)
