"Gold" in Hebrew is "zahav", but I don't know, whether there is a name based on this vocabulary word. It would be ZEHAVAH rather than ZAHAVA (with the stress on the third syllable). (cf. YEDIDAH as the female equivalent to YADID)

Zlata (which comes from the word for "gold" in various Slavic languages) was used as a Jewish name, and so was the Yiddish Golda/Golde.

AFAIK Zahava/Zehava is used in Israel, sometimes as the equivalent of these (ie Zahava after grandma Golde) I don't think it was a name before, but I'm not sure.
