We seem to have a recurring problem with people asking for an answer to an enquiry but wanting it sent to their e-mail address (viz., our friend Dark River, below).
Altho I'm sure the request is well-meant, Nan's stated reluctance (not for the first time) to post to an e-mail addy is shared by many of the "regulars" here. I know I've been deluged with spam for weeks on end after posting my e-mail address here, and I'm just as hesitant to give it to a stranger unless it's at my behest.
Any chance of you adding to the "gender and ethnic background" clause at the top of the posting page a statement such as:
"The responses to questions posted on this board are intended for viewing by all board users. Please do not request or expect that a response will be forwarded to your e-mail address. For their own privacy, most responders on this site will only post their answers openly on the board."
