I’m doing a quick research for something and I would like to know if there is a category or something for names that had a strike on popularity after a celeb became known with it? (Whether they died, became known to the public, etc.)
Names that should probably be noted in the database:
River (After River Phoenix’s death in 1993, the name River appeared on the charts for boys.)
Ashanti (In 2002, the name Ashanti SHOT up in popularity after the singer Ashanti made her debut in 2001.)
Ciara (The name was likely first introduced because of a perfume. However, the name Ciara reached it’s peak in 2005. Which is the year after Ciara released the song “Oh”.)
Blake (Specifically for girls, this name was likely influenced because of Blake Lively.)
"People say nothing is impossible, but I do nothing all day."
