Greek name: KALE or KALI
Hello,I met a Greek Kali a few years ago, pronounced KAH-lee. She told me it means "beauty".I searched for it online for some time and it seems to be correct: Kale was one of the Greek Charites and a daughter of Zeus.My guess is that Kale is the ancient Greek translation and Kali the modern Greek translation as is often the case. For example Nephele is listed on this site, but in real life I have only encountered it once on a Greek girl who spelled it Nefeli in English and I met a Calliope who spelled it as Kalliopi. So basically I'd just like to double check whether Kali can be used as an anglicization of the Greek Καλη.Also, I am wondering if there would be differences between the modern and ancient Greek pronunciation.
