My husband and I had out daughter in February of 2000 and choose the name Peighton. Since I have a different name, I knew that my daughter would need one also, just not as unusual as mine. Peighton just seemed like the perfect name. My husband came up with the spelling, which I thought was unusual, only to find that it really isn't. Plus, the day after Peighton was born, a lady in the next room had a child born that they also named Peyton. I guess it is more popular than we hoped, but at least the spelling isn't.
