ArchivesName update #100
There are a number of changes to the ancient Sumerian and Akkadian names, with cuneiform spellings added to some. Also, native Amharic spellings have been added. Thank you to those who have supplied information!

Question: Within the last update or two, you started using "variant form" and "variant spelling" in some entries instead of just "variant". Any reason?

I use “(language) variant form” sometimes when the name is the form in another language but not necessarily the main form. That is, a variant of the main form.
Variant spelling is equivalent to variant transcription.
