This is a question that's been bothering me for a long time.
I first encountered the name Shizune as Soichirou's aunt's/adoptive mother's name in Kareshi Kanojo no Jijio. Now, the most similar name I have found online is Shizue, but I don't know if they're even remotely close in meaning.
Could someone look this up?

Could be a derivation of Shizuna, a name coming form the adjective shizuna, meaning calm. However manga names are very often cool or cute sounding inventions of the author at not "real" names at all. You might want to find out the Japanese characters used to write that name and find a translation for them.

I think the name Shizene means "silent(calm) sound=shizukana oto".
