Looking for two first names
I have a name "LICIA" that is short for some other name. I know that the other name means "happy" or "lucky". I don't know what the language is. I'm trying to discover what that other full name is. I need to know how "LICIA" came about and what name it came from. Also, I need to know what firstnames mean "victory". I have no other information. It's reasonably important to get this information soon. I will be very grateful for any help. Thanks..... Art

I have a name "LLATIO" that is short for some other name. I know that the other name means "happy" or "got lucky". I don't know what language the name is, but it might be Welsh because of the double LL. I'm trying to discover what the other full name is. I need to know how "LLATIO" came about and what name it came from. Thanks....Shiner
I dunno if that's Welsh, Shiner. I think you may be laboring under a common phallacy...

It could be Spanish, too, since the double-l is used in Spanish (think llama, quesadilla, etc.) and quite a number of male Spanish names end in o.
I'm not that familiar with Welsh, but I don't know of any names or nicknames in Welsh that end in o. I'm much more familiar with Irish Gaelic.
Don't quote me on whether it's definitely Spanish or Welsh, though.

The name you're most likely thinking of is "Felicia ", which means "happy, lucky, fortunate".
"Licia" is just an ending of the feminine form of the Latin name "Felix ", from whence springs "Felicia ".
As for first names meaning "victory" -- perhaps the most obvious are "Victor ", "Victoria ", "Nicholas ", "Nicole ", "Nike", and (in Esperanto) "Venka".
You could try going to the main page of this website, and doing a "search in meanings" for the word "victory".
