I've recently come across the name Tariel, the name of a male character in a Georgian epic poem titled "The Knight in the
Panther's Skin." I've been trying to find out what the meaning behind the name in Georgian is but haven't had much success. I've looked at some of the other names in it. Tariel's love interest is Nestan-Darejan means "unlike any other in the world" or "unique, matchless";
Avtandil means "heart of the sun"; and
Tinatin means "light". If anyone who knows the Georgian language or is familiar with the name, please let me know. I'm really curious.
