Hey, this is my name actually. Somewhere I still have the welsh baby names book my parents picked it from. It can actually be for a male or female. It's welsh in origin and it means 'Watcher', usually in the context of a guardian or caregiver. It's an interesting name, so far I've only ever met one other person outside of the UK with it so it's pretty uncommon in North America. I will try to add a reference to the book it's from if I can dig it up!
