When they're "better than us", yes, I do. Just remember Rudyard Kipling's Gunga Din (I think it was a story, but it might have been a poem.) Also, think about Mother Theresa. Personally, I think she WAS better than us.
Commenting on the "idolization" of the royal family, I don't. Idolize them, I mean. I just remembered an incident during the wedding of Charles and Diana where the Archbishop of Canterbury accidentally transposed two of Charles' names.
