I'm trying to trace the origins of a female ancestor of mine, Diadema Lodusky Rice. She was born circa
1823 in either Tennessee or possibly Ireland. I'm curious about the name Lodusky. It appears as a female
first name and very, very rarely as a surname. Is it a literary reference? Is the name Diadema also a
literary reference or just a reference to a Diadem.
