I am curious if this is a common misspelling (or either an alternate spelling) among Spanish speakers because when I looked up Tarcila on a search engine, there seemed to be lots of them.
*Edited to add that I just checked the Tarsila spelling on a search engine. There were almost 3x as many links with this spelling so while the name is hardly common, this is the more common spelling. Thanks, again.

Among American Spanish speaking people specially, the misspelling of C/Z/S are usual, because they sound the same in American Spanish.
But in Spanish, the spelling of the names or the words is not a question of choice or of "alternate spelling"; then, a confusion between S and C is a misspelling.
Note: some names/words has alternate spellings, but most don't.
