The name LeRoy is not pronounced 'lee' roy' as you state in your notes. It should be pronounced 'la Roy' as a variation of the French 'la Roi' as would be the pronounciation for the 'the king'. You have made a very common assumption that the names 'LeRoy' and 'LeRoy' are pronounced the same and they are not. Additionally, my attempt to spell LeRoy as above with a lower case 'r', has met with an impossibility, whereas and most often, I am prohibited from spelling my name with an upper case 'R'.
