First of all, like CN said, not at all common here in Sweden.From my genealogy (it was a somewhat more common name some centuries ago), I've gathered that it was often a short form of Eufrosina, ie Euphrosyne.

Sorry, this site claimed it was a common Scandinavian name, maybe it mas common in the past
