Banoura, Banora or Bannoura is an Arabic name: بنورة
I find it difficult to be sure what it means. I have two possibilities:
1. it could be the combination of 'bi' (with, through, etc.) and 'nour' (light) with an 'a' behind it to make it feminine. In this case the meaning would be something like 'with light'. That would be pretty, but I don't really think this is what the name means. Starting a name with 'bi' seems strange to me.
2. On the internet I find people saying it means 'vase' in the Egyptian dialect, or something like a piece of thick glass. I can't find it in my dictionary of modern standard Arabic, but I think this is the more likely meaning.
