"Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves"
The great thing about this tale is that just about every character's named, and their names don't change (much) in retellings. So, I know what Ali, Abdullah (Abdallah), Mustafa (Mustapha), Hassan, and of course Cassim (Qasim) mean. What about the rest?Morgiana (f) (sometimes spelled Morgana in retellings)
Baba (m) (actually appears twice in the tale--Baba Mustafa's the other character)
Cogia (m) (1/2 of Cogia Hassan in the tale)I'm especially interested in Morgiana, since she's such an interesting, intelligent, and feminist character.
