Was it pronounce like kee-nah? If so then one possibility is that it's a feminine form of the Irish name Cian (Kean or Kian) which means "ancient" in Gaelic.
It could also be Hawaiian or Indian?

it is said like kee-nah. I think it's Hawaiian but I'm not sure. That's the best I could figure out.
