Does anyone know any links or can otherwise tell me where to find lists of English historical names by popularity? I am particularly desperate to find lists dating between 1200 ad to 1700 ad.

I would also check the English lists at the Medieval Names Archive. http://www.s-gabriel.org/names/english.shtml

You can find lists from between 1538 and 1700 in the book Names and Naming Patterns in England 1538-1700 by Scott Smith-Bannister. The ISBN is 0-19-820663-1.
