Aderyn
I'm hoping Merry is still about. In the database, it says Aderyn is a "modern" Welsh name. Is it modern like Braylynn?
Replies
I'm not Merry but ...
Aderyn isn't like Braylynn since "aderyn" is a Welsh word. It's just modern as a name, like Aisling in Ireland and Iona, Isla etc. in Scotland.
Such names normally date back to the Celtic revival which occured in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Modern by some standards, but certainly not in comparison to Braylynn.
