YUSET
Hi everyone,
I'm looking for information about the name YUSET.
I already found out it is a unisex name that seems to be "popular" in latin america.
Found people named Yuset with hispanic surnames. Asking these people they didn't know about the meaning of their name.
It might have it's origin in the ancient kingdom of jerusalem.
I find it's pretty similar to Yusef, Yosef, Youssef and other variations of Joseph.
In the excerpt of a book I found two names for a geographical place in maroc: sidi yuset/sidi yussef
here's the link http://books.google.ch/books?id=jOh8TUswSSUC&pg=PA197&lpg=PA197&dq=sidi+yuset&source=bl&ots=0PbcCEjKem&sig=V3fXGGg4RAOWjdwg1ib5S1AMfB0&hl=de&ei=UVCXTrCkDeSK4gTdg6GpBA&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=1&sqi=2&ved=0CB8Q6AEwAA#v=onepage&q=sidi%20yuset&f=false
For any information I'd be really thankful.

It actually seems to be from Russian/Slavic background and the reason it and variations of it are popular with Hispanics is related to the Russian involvement with Cuba.
