My name is Janice. It's pronounced Juh niece not Janus like the two-faced goddess. The only information I can find is for the latter. All I know is that my Irish great grandma named my Irish/Cherokee grandma Janice back in the 30's. I don't know if that helps with origin or not... But I thought it may be French because the nice is pronounce like Nice, France. But I have no idea! Maybe my great grandma was just being creative. Thank you in advance for any information.
